What is lay-up?

Lay-up changes the cover for Your Caravan or Motorhome under the Policy, it is restricted to loss or damage occurring while Your Motorhome or Caravan is within the gates, walls, or fences of Your home address as specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. You will receive a premium discount during the lay-up months (maximum discount capped at 8 months).

Is my caravan covered for transit when being transported by train, truck or ferry?

As a policy inclusion, transportation via road, rail and sea are automatically included.

Can accessories be added to my caravan?

Accessories can be added and covered under your insurance policy. Any accessories must be advised to us and will be noted on your Certificate of Insurance.

Am I covered when towing my caravan off-road?

Off-road towing for your caravan is included under all our policies. Off-road claims have no additional excess applied.

Do I have contents cover under my policy?

Cover for contents is automatically included under the policy for $5,000. If a higher contents amount is required, please contact our customer service team by referring to the link below for contact options.

Can I hire my caravan out?

Yes, you may hire out your caravan and we will pay a claim if you select this option, and it is shown on Your Certificate of Insurance.

What is the difference between Agreed Value and Market Value?

With Agreed Value, you lock in a sum insured amount — so if Your motorhome is a Total Loss, you’ll receive the full sum insured, no surprises.

With Market Value, you nominate a Sum Insured, and in the event of a Total Loss, you’ll be paid the lesser of either the Sum Insured or the current Market Value of your Motorhome.

Are my contents covered under my policy?

Cover for contents for $1,000 is automatically included under the policy.

Am I covered if a friend or family member uses and operates my Motorhome?
